Paris Hilton could benefit from some driving lessons. The young socialite was pulled over yesterday on Santa Monica Blvd. for her unsafe driving techniques.
This is not the first time Paris has been in trouble with the law. She was arrested for a DUI back in 2006 after leaving a party in Hollywood. Paris diminished her behavior at the time saying “It was nothing.”
While Paris was not driving under the influence at the time of her recent traffic stop, she was driving dangerously. The heiress was swerved into the bike lane in an attempt to pass slowly moving cars. She must have been in a hurry to get somewhere.
Paris was driving a black GMC Yukon Hybrid at the time of the incident. She had just finished up a day of shopping in Hollywood prior to being pulled over. The officer gave Paris a citation for ‘unsafe passing’ and let her go.
Just moments before she was pulled over, Paris was sending out an update on Twitter. “Just got some new computers and electronic gadgets at The Melrose Mac Store. I am such a tech nerd I can’t help it! Technology Rocks!”

As we mentioned recently, an advertisement for Devassa beer which features “The Simple Life” star Paris Hilton, has sparked a barrage of complaints in Brazil. According to digitalspy.co.uk, the commercial has been accused of “devaluing women.”
In the advertisement, Paris Hilton is seen wearing a short black dress, and rubbing a can of Devassa beer over herself while a fair few onlookers swoon. A spokesperson for Brazil’s Secretariat for Women’s Affairs, said they’d received several complaints.
The spokesperson said that they’d called for the commercial to be taken off air, adding that it’s an ad that devalues women – blond women in particular. A spokesperson for ad regulator Conar, said that the organization had opened 3 investigations.
Eduardo Correia – Conar’s spokesperson – said that the problem with the advertisement isn’t with a lack of clothing, but its sensual nature. Brazilian regulations do in fact mean that beer commercials aren’t allowed to treat women as overtly sensual objects.

Paris Hilton has riled the authorities within the Brazilian government.
A spokesperson for Brazil’s Secretariat for Women’s Affairs (BSWA) wants an advertisement the socialite stars in to be removed from the airwaves due to its racy content according to the Associated Press.
In the ad, Hilton is seen posing in a short black dress while provocatively rubbing a can of Devassa (which translates to “naughty”) beer on herself as onlookers stare through a window.
Three separate investigations have been launched by the country’s advertising watchdog.
The BSWA cited several complaints received concerned the “sensual nature” of the campaign.
“It’s an ad that devalues women – in particular, blonde women. The problem with the ad isn’t a lack of clothing, but its sensual nature. A woman in a bikini on a beach isn’t necessarily sensual; it depends on the context,” a spokesperson for the BSW said.
Hilton tweeted a response via Twitter.
“Are they serious? So ridiculous,” she wrote.

Paris Hilton’s mother has cast doubt over reports that her daughter is engaged.
Rumours that boyfriend Doug Reinhardt had popped the question to the heiress emerged earlier this week.
The speculation was fuelled by Hilton’s recent admission that she had considered marriage in 2010.
However, Angry Ape claims that when asked of the news, Hilton’s mother Kathy remarked that the engagement is “news to me”.
Kathy added that if the stories are true, her daughter “hasn’t mentioned it to me”.
